Saffron Attar

Description

Saffron Attar is prepared through the hydro distillation of the stigma of Saffron leaves. It blends well with Sandalwood oil which gives it softness. The reddish color attar is bitter in taste and has warm, spicy and sweet, hay like fragrance. It is composed of a chemical, “Safranal” and hence excellent medicinal properties.

Uses:  In Ayurveda, Saffron Attar is mentioned as a highly effective tonic for heart. This attar is used in aromatherapy, mediation and during prayers. Due to the exotic taste of Saffron attar, it is used in cuisines. Additionally, Saffron attar possesses several medicinal properties such as it proves to be beneficial in respiratory problems, insomnia, etc. It has anti-depressant and analgesic property. It is also helpful in the treatment of spams.
